Today we went to Delco to look deeper into our small world. Take a closer look at the things that are out there and open our eyes to more than what’s just in front of us and get to a personal level.
We took a little bit walking around finding a quiet are and just hung out listening for a little bit. While we were taking in the peace and quiet we were challenged to come up with metaphors for the area around us. I found a few but I kind of put them into a story… which we probably weren’t really supposed to do but oh well.
For the afternoon and a little before lunch we were allowed to just go around the park and hang out so my group took the adventure to hang up our hammocks. Let’s just say the trees were a little big for the rope that we had. That didn’t stop us though. Lizzie and I tied our ropes to make them bigger and then hung up both of our hammocks on the same rope. That part was really fun and everyone took turns going in and out of the hammocks.
At one point Letty was in one and I was in the other and she was trying to flip and I was already flipped but she ended up rolling hers on top of mine. We then got stuck like that and they were all tangled up together. That was definitely the highlight… till it started rain while we were eating and we had to pack up and go back to the shelter.
