Today was all about water and how it moves through out earth. The water that we have is what we will always have. It goes through a process (the water cycle) to purify it and get it usable again. As we use water it goes into the drains and sewer system. So what we waste and the things that are in our water is going to affect everyone downstream from us.
To me it makes me think closer to how I use my water. Like how much I am using and the purposes for using it. Also when being outside and seeing things that are in our streams and rivers that don’t really belong, I know resources and how to get attention about those things.
Now how does knowing this make me live more deliberately? I touched on it a little bit but I think that it almost gives more of a purpose to somethings. Giving you something to think about and a “goal” to work towards. When we talked about what it meant to live deliberately at the beginning, it was all about purpose and taking time to think about the meaning behind things. For me I like knowing the purpose, so knowing where the water is coming from and where it goes seems to just be like knowledgeable and as though there is a purpose.

The River, flowing and free
That held all the water, clear and cold
Where the fish, vibrant and active, swam all day
And the sand, tan and grainy, is river’s foundation
With the mud, damp and squishy, helping to build the solid ground
And the rocks, strong and rough, added the texture to river
With trees, bold and firm, adding the protection
And the hills, tall and wide, that caught the water and sent it back to the
River, flowing and free
