Adventure day two. Cox Arboretum. Beautiful colors, smells and noises. We took lots of pictures today of the things that surround us. Both our friends and the beauty of outside. It was really cool getting to just walk around in such a peaceful place with a lot of great people. The flowers were BEAUTIFUL. And there were so many different kinds and they all kinds smelled a little different.
I really enjoyed walking up the tree tower. There was so much to see from the top and it was like a complete view. You could see so much beyond the park. There are some places where you go up high and it all seems quiet and like there are no worries. It was good just to stand up there and look over the edge and take in what I was seeing and enjoying the time for what it was.
The sun isn’t that bright today but honestly that’s not a bad thing. It’s still like warm enough to wear shorts. But not too hot that is unbearable. I think I honestly would have preferred it this way because it made it really nice for walking around for a long time. Plus no one was all smelly.
Another one of my favorite parts of today was walking through the edible garden. We just went through the circle seeing what we could find and smelling the different thing. I found the mint like right away and that has always been like one of my things from the garden. I just love how fresh it is and whenever I smell it, it’s refreshing. Also Letty and I were walking around and we found lettuce and a radish. I didn’t try either of them because I’m not really one to eat things from the ground. We brought them back to the rest of our group in the “kitchen” are of the garden and people went around sharing what they found and tasting things if they wanted to.
Overall I just think it was a good day to be outside. And being with good friends while being there.
